AAUSS volunteer Susan Totman interviewed by WLBZ2 TV in Bangor

WLBZ2 in Bangor Maine

Susan Totman is a volunteer with Adopt a U.S. Soldier. The Denver-based non-profit organization matches soldiers with people who want to write them letters and send them care packages. Volunteers like Totman match supporters with soldiers. Totman said the organization has about one hundred seventy thousand supporters in sixty countries. She said there are only three hundred supporters in Maine, and she hopes to see that number grow.

To honor those serving our country, a college here in Houston inviting me to the school to help spread awareness about AAUSS. We collected about 200 letters from students, as well as TONS of donated items. The students were so involved that they have decided to adopt a group of soldiers for the school.
