City Of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management Supports Project Frontlines

The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management sent 3 large care packages to a group of 33 soldiers after signing up with Project Frontlines over the holidays.  They all pitched in (even the sales clerk at the store they purchased the items from) and were able to send stationary, pens, personal hygiene items, food, and more.  They are already working on a game plan for the next time the adopt from Project Frontlines.  We would like to give a huge thank you to The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management along with Commissioner Kishia Powell and Communications Director Lillian Govus for their support and the smiles they brought to their soldiers faces.

Happy 12th Anniversary to Us

Happy 12th Anniversary to AAUSS!

Yes, we are turning a year older and still growing strong. We thank our many supporters from around the United States and world for helping to share funny stories, their daily lives and care packages with our deployed troops.

We thank our service members for EVERYTHING. The sacrifices they give each day home or deployed.

Our mission: To honor active US military personnel, Adopt A US Soldier is a 501c3 volunteer-based organization that connects supportive civilians with deployed troops and offers a channel by which to communicate encouragement and express gratitude to the brave men and women serving our nation and the world.

Finally, we thank our donors who allow us to send additional items such as board games, sporting equipment, healthy snacks, hygiene items, reading items and much more.

Enjoy some words from our troops and thank you for helping AAUSS continue to grow!

Debbie
AAUSS President

“Well I think you all have the best military support known. I wish more soldiers knew about the program. My group just got out of the field a couple days ago and with my profession I couldn’t tell my sponsors. But its okay. I know someone is there for me. I can’t disclose my location but we’re always ready and i use my supporters fuel as motivation. Thank you all and for all you give!!!”

“Thank you all for your support, as far as feed back on the support it has been amazing. the supporters that were assigned have written letters and sent packages with more than we could ever expect in them. This has been an amazing experience.”

Yes I have been receiving a few packages, I haven’t had time to write to anyone about receiving anyone’s yet. I’m sorry for that, but everything that I have received I have split between parts of the platoon. The platoon and myself could not thank everyone enough for everything everyone is doing, if you could be able to relay to them everything I am greatly appreciative. Like I said I’m sorry I haven’t had to to email them, days have been long and will be long for quite some time.”
