“Thank you for supporting my Platoon and all the service members outside the wire. We have it tough sometimes but you and all your volunteers are the reason we do what we do! Included is a picture of the 3rd Platoon, Bravo Company Scoundrels. Despite the guns, bazookas and body armor we are actually a nice bunch of guys. Thanks again.”
Time to revisit a letter many of you have read.
You never realize how much a kind thought, a letter, and perhaps a touch of home actually means.
“Words cannot describe what the support from incredibly generous and loving people involved with AAUSS meant to me while I was deployed to Afghanistan. In addition to the grinding stresses of being in a combat zone, I was going through a very difficult time in my personal life. You just can’t describe in words what it means to a soldier during “mail call” to hear his or her name called out, being able to physically hold something from “home” that instantly takes them away from the harshness of their surroundings, even if it’s only for a few minutes.
Happy 4th of July AAUSS!
I just wanted to shoot you a quick Happy Independence Day (even though it’s the end
of the day)! I know there were tons of BBQs today, but please take a minute to see
the pictures I attached and take a moment to remember that our freedom is not free.
They were taken here in Afghanistan and are a friendly reminder that “All gave some,
and some gave all” in defending our country. I hope you had a safe, fun & most
Cheers from the ‘Stan!
Even though the war is not what it was in 2005. I know myself and many soldiers are
grateful for everything you have done for us. It is the small things that you
provide that give all of us hope and sense of home. What you and your organization
do is something that has no value. I personally would like to thank you for
everything you are doing. Thank you from bottom of my heart and please thank all
your staff and friends for me . Thank you. and god bless.
We periodically check in on our registered military members and we will get replies from our troops!
Thank you everyone for the support you provide to our troops!
“AAUSS is great and the people are very caring and supportive. The soldiers here and myself are very thankful for AAUSS and all the volunteers. Thank you. “
“You have some great people. I sent out some pic this morning of all the stuff that I am getting in for the troops and pics of them getting the stuff. The guys are loving the support. As for the people that you have assigned I couldn’t ask for better people. Thank you for your support and I wish you the very best.”
“I can’t even describe the help your organization puts out! You seriously help all of the soldiers that sometimes don’t get to keep in touch with family.”
“I just want to say thank you to you and this great organization!! It brings a little bit of home to us while we are deployed!! The letters and packages lift morale and spirits amongst the ranks!! Once I registered, I was given a few sponsors and I will tell you this, it has been great to hear from folks back in the states!! It keeps me going and the packages I receive are
dispersed to my Sailors! Once again thank you for all you have done in setting up and your continued support of this program.”
