AAUSS News

AAUSS Closing

AAUSS has been around for 14 years and it has hopefully lived up to its mission of giving support to our deployed soldiers.  Our supporters have never disappointed our soldiers with their caring nature and eagerness to help.  Our soldiers are forever grateful that basic strangers have reached out to them and offered food, toiletries, reading materials, or just an open mind, heart and ears in which to vent to.

Supporters, you have changed lives no matter how little you think you did.

Soldiers, you can never be thanked enough for your service.

Now that things have somewhat calmed down overseas, which is of course wonderful, it has diminished the need for our organization. Unfortunately though we have been faced with an agonizing decision.
The Board of Directors has decided to close down Adopt A US Soldier.

We will be keeping the forums and personal accounts accessible until May 15, 2019.  After that there will no longer be any way to obtain any information.
Again, we cannot express the amount of appreciation we have for all of you.  Such giving, caring people seem rare these days.

Respectfully,

Kelly
AAUSS Board of Directors
Chairman

Options for Christmas Cards

Last year, we collected Christmas cards for the troops. However, WE WILL NOT BE COLLECTING THEM THIS YEAR.

We know many enjoyed doing this and we were excited to collect more than 27 flat rate boxes last year.

So, if you are wanting to send cards this year, I would suggest you do a search online or even through Facebook. Two options did pop up, but we did not look at the programs in depth. A reminder is to always check the program out to make sure it is what you are looking for when sending cards to our troops. And, pay attention to deadlines from that organization.

We appreciate your continued support to our troops and being a part of AAUSS.
