I wanted to send along a copy of the e-mail we received form our Navy guy Tim...he is leaving for home but his appreciation and the wonderful communications we have shared has been a blessing on both ends

"Cynthia,
Thanks again for you and you family’s consistent support while being deployed. The box of baked goods and candy arrived today. As always, I appreciate the care package and kind words from you and your family. You are also always in my thoughts and prayers and I am gracious and lucky to have you adopt me during this time.

I will be returning back home in about a month and wanted you to know that there is no need for you to send me care packages. However I have appreciated each one that you’d sent and was always looking forward to them. I know shipping can be very expensive. I will miss them.

Someday when I look back on my career, I will realize that my sacrifices were worthwhile because I served my country for people like you.

God bless
-Tim

I spent 18 long months there in Iraq and I am so glad to be back in the USA again. I returned back to the USA on 7 July 2008. God bless you and your organization for everything you did for me and my soldiers while I was there.

My support is ok. Ty for the support. Yep 3rd deployment. And there is something you can do for me stay dedicated to us all

Thank you very much for your support, a front line would be nothing without the support from the rear, so your service is by no means any less important than mine is!

Comments Here: I'm a Chuck Norris Fan.  I like Kentucky wildcat Basketball and a Cincinnati Reds fan.  I have a wife and 8 children and two grandchildren who pray for me all the time.  I love listening to Christian music and I love reading Christian mystery novels.  It is very hot here right now and I miss my wife and family.  This is my 2nd deployment over here too.  I like getting letters from people back home too.  I like seeing people enjoying their freedoms back home.  Also I ask that you go vote and try to make a difference for our country.  Thank you for supporting us.

Comments Here: I would like to take this time out and say thank you very much for all the support programs out there especially this one. You...that’s right YOU are the ones who lifts our spirits when we feel that all is lost and no one cares. You the ones that makes this all worth serving for...The American people. I love you all!!!

Comments Here: Dear supporters, I was told about this site from a fellow soldier, and I just wanna say thank you for what you all do back home to let us know that some people still have us in their hearts and minds. Though we may not want to be in the locations that we are currently in, best believe we are proud to serve our country.

GOD BLESS THE USA!!

Comments Here:   Hello,  I am a Marine and I am very thankful for organizations such as yours. I am writing to you on behalf of my squad. There are 15 of us. This is our second deployment and we are excited and a bit anxious all at the same time.

I can tell you from experience that the cards/letters/care packages that my platoon and I received last deployment made all the difference in the world. It seems that the arrival of the cards/letters/packages was always perfect. They seemed to show up on days that we were down and our moral was a bit low. Just knowing that someone was thinking of us made all the difference. It allowed us to go back out and give it all that we had.

I have posted your website address in our unit and briefed my soldiers to personally request your organization if they want to receive care packages. I have also told them to be specific on their request.

Thank you once again for all you do for our war fighters. Your actions really do made a positive impact to the morale of our unit.

Comments Here: anything that is send to me will be great....not looking for nothing in particular...i just want to be part of this program...if i get adopted i would be very grateful...i would be very thankful to who ever adopts me...my battle buddy has a great relationship with his adopter....I've seen it helps in some way,it makes it a better day when you get a package out here..i guess knowing that somebody you don't know, cares and has not forgotten that you are here makes you fell good......and to all of you that make this possible for us, everybody at adoptaussoldier.org  i just want to say thanks, you guys really make a difference.

Comments Here: I am 28 and from Cincinnati, OH. I have a two year old son and a little girl on the way. I like anything that reminds me of home and lots of coffee. Small items to give to the Iraqi children are also nice gifts, i.e. pens, markers, crayons or small bulk candy. I appreciate your support and any bulk items will be shared amoung the soldiers or Iraqi children. Organizations such as these really give soldiers something to look forward to when they come back from patrols. It's almost like christmas every few days as all of the sodliers share their gifts. Thank you for your support, generosity and patriatism. It is good to know that after 5 years of fighting their are still people that are extremely supportive of the troops.

Comments Here:  I am actually requesting support for myself and a buddy. He and I both never get any mail or e-mail from home, so we thought it would be nice to have someone to correspond with.
